Dr. Jabbar Patel is an acclaimed film maker and theater personality of India. He is best known for his landmark films in Marathi like 'Saamna', 'Sinhasan', 'Jait Re Jait' and 'Umbartha', and the biopic 'Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar'. One of his best creations is the late Vijay Tendulkar's play 'Ghashiram Kotwal', which is considered as a modern day theater classic in India. He founded the 'Theatre Academy' experimental drama group in Pune in the early 70s, which has presented some inspiring Marathi plays over the years.

He has to his credit as Director and Scriptwriter in Public Sector organizations such as Film Division, NFDC,Children’s Film Society and Doordarshan Channel 1 for programs : “Hum Paanchi Ek Dal Ke” ,”Bhart Ke Khoj”, ”Sitraon Ki Duniya’, and ”Mera Puppy Kyon Nahi ho Sakta”, Turning Point”, “The Alien Embrace”, and “Surabhi.”
Written and directed documentaries such as the “The Caregivers” for Public Sector Broadcasting Trust, New Delhi. ‘Behta Zehar”(Flowing Poison) on river pollution in Western Uttar Pradesh. India-Africa : A partnership for growth”, Documentary for Ministry of External Affairs.In the private sector he has to his credit “Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron”, Anand Patwardhan’s “Hamara Shehar”, and “Telehoise”with Javed Jaffri.
Shri.Devendra Raj Ankur studied theatre at the National School of Drama in Delhi, in 1981; he took his Master’s degree in Hindi from the University of Delhi. After a stint in NSD’s Repertory Company, He joined the School’s faculty in 1979, and has since served NSD in various capacities in Delhi and its Resource Centre in Bangalore. He was appointed Director of NSD in 2001. As a theatre director, He has staged a variety of fiction and other literature without their adaptation into dramatic form. Since his initial experiments in 1975, He has produced numerous stories, novels, and plays in this manner, drawn from literature in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, and other languages. His important productions include Mahabhoj, Anaro, Khanaba- dosh, Rustam-Sohrab, Yahudi ki Ladki, Abhigyana Shakuntalam, Mrichhakatika, Ai Ladki, and Uska Bachpan. He has conducted production-oriented workshops in various parts of India under NSD’s extension programme, and has participa- ted in several seminars. His publications include two collections of his articles in Hindi — Pehla Rang (1999) and Rang Collage (2000) — and the volume Darshan Pradarshan (2002). The Sahitya Kala Parishad, Delhi, has conferred its Parishad Samman in 2000- 2001. His book Pehla Rang received an award from the Hindi Akademi in 2001. He receives the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for his contribution to theatre as a director.
He completed his M.Sc. with Bio Chemistry in 1972 from University of Pune. He is more known as a playwright, director and stage actor since 1973. He is one of the founder members of Theatre Academy, Pune. His plays Mahanirvan, Begum Barve, Mahapoor are known all over. He scripted Marathi screenplay "Jait Re Jait"directed by Jabbar Patel in 1976. He then became Professor and Head, Centre for Performing Arts, University Of Pune from 1996 to 2009. He was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in Playwriting (Marathi) in 1994, by Sangeet Natak Akademi, Delhi. He received the award "Padamshree" conferred by the President of India in January 2012. Since 2013. He is nominated by Savitribai Phule Pune University as Distinguished Professor on the campus. Recently he is also known for his screen acting both in Marathi and Hindi feature films. He is seen in the character roles of award winning films like Ventilator (2016).
Shri Shafaat Khan is a renowned Marathi playwright and theatre director. A Science graduate from the Mumbai University, he has taught theatre at the Academy of Theatre Arts, University of Mumbai.
As a playwright, He is considered to be a satirist. He has written around twelve full-length plays including Gardit garditla, Mumbaiche Kavle (translated into Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and Kannada), Kisse (translated into Marathi and Hindi), Bhumiti cha Farce, Rahile Door Ghar Majhe, Shobhayatra (translated into Hindi, English, Marathi, Gujarati and Bengali), Timepass, Popat Panchi, Sare Pravasi Ghadi Che, Gandhi Adva Yeto, Dry Day, besides writing around six short plays such as Ani Vashya Premat Padla, Ka, Ma, Kahur, and Love Story. He has also translated and adapted Dario Fo’s play into Marathi titled Police Nama, and Girish Karnad’s Nag Mandala. He has also organized many theatre festivals especially Sufala Chashak, which was a one-act drama competition; and the Rashtriya Maharang Parishad 2014 for the University of Mumbai. He has presented numerous papers on theatre and has also been visiting faculty at a number of institutions.
Many institutions have felicitated him for his contribution to the theatre as a playwright. The Government of Maharashtra felicitated him in 1997 and 1999. He receives the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for his contribution to Indian theatre as a playwright.
Uttara Baokar studied acting at National School of Drama (NSD), Delhi, under Ebrahim Alkazi, graduating in 1968.Uttara Baokar is an Indian stage, film and television actress. She acted in several notable plays, like as Padmavati in Mukyhamantri, Mena in Mena Gurjari, Desdemona in Shakespeare's Othello, the mother in playwright Girish Karnad's Tughlaq, the nautch girl in Chhote Saiyad Bade Saiyad and the lead role of Umrao in Umrao Jaan. In 1978, she also directed Jaywant Dalvi's play Sandhya Chhaya, in Hindi translation by Kusum Kumar.
In 1984, she Receives the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.She has also appeared in Marathi films like Doghi (1995) with Sadashiv Amrapurkar and Renuka Daftardar, Uttarayan (2005), Shevri (2006) and Restaurant (2006), with Sonali Kulkarni.
Shri Rajeev Naik is a renowned naatakvala, and has written eleven plays as well as five translations. He is also a poet, short story writer, editor, teacher and theorist, and writes in Marathi. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy & Psychology and has completed his post-graduation as well as Ph.D. in Linguistics & Aesthetics. Rajeev Naik has taught in Mumbai and Pune University, and has worked on subjects like Space and Time in Theatre, Myth in Theatre, and Theatre Semiotics. He was associated with the theatre group, Antarnatya from 1984 to 1998. Rajeev Naik is also the recipient of numerous fellowships and awards.
Aniruddha khutwad works as visting faculty at his alma mater and at the film and telivision Institute India(FTII) were he teaches acting based on the stanislavaski system.he conducts theatre workshops across various parts of india including Ladakh, sikkim, meghlaya , assam, manipur, tamilnadu,gujarat, madhya pradesh & Maharashtra. He has directed numerous plays in marathi and in hindi for prominent institutions and theatre groups across india.some of his work includes MAHAPOOR for kala kendra,pune,SAINYA BHAYE KOTWAL for the NSD ,EK RIKAMI BAJU for Theatrix,mumbai,PARTY for Academy of theatre Arts , mumbai university,ADHANTAR and THE LOWER DEPTHS for NSD and KAAY DANGER WARA SUTLAY for Maharashtra Rangabhoomi,Mumbai.He has recently directed DR.Gieve patel’s MISTER BEHRAM for Kala kendra , which has been transleted into marathi by shanta Gokhale .Aniruddha was the chief Assitant Director for the hindi film Haasil , Marathi film valu and telefilms najarana,fursat mein , ek shaam ki mulakaat. He is current;y teaching Theatre Acting in MIT School of Drama as visiting faculty.
Shri Abhiram Bhadkamkar is an Indian film actor, director and writer. He mainly worked as a writer in different films, serials and plays. Some of his famous films, as a writer are Balgandharva, Pachadlela, Aai, Khabardar, A Rainy Day, Paulwaat and many more. His famous Marathi plays, as a writer, are Dehbhan, Altun Paltun, Pahuna, Sukhanshi Bhadato Amhi, Ladi Najariya, Hasat Khelat, Jyacha Tyacha Prashna and many more. His plays are performed in Hindi, Kannad and Gujrathi in addition to Marathi theatre. A film directed by him is Aamhi Asu Ladke, presented and well received in many international and national film festivals. His collection of stories and novels are published by publishers/ publications of repute. His acting in films has won accolades. He acted in different Marathi and Hindi films and TV serials. He has written story of upcoming Marathi comedy film Jalsa.
He has also received the prestigious Sangeet Natak Award for his exceptional theatre work. He is currently teaching History of Theatre as visiting faculty.
A Moonlight Dreamer, travel bug and a Cultural enthusiast made her create the love of life, Kirdaar Arts Foundation, she is passionately working in the field of Performing Arts since age 6. She has completed her Bachelors in English Literature and Masters in Theatre Arts from University of Mumbai, her urge to delve deep in the field of Theatre and Arts paved her way for National Scholarship from Cultural Ministry of India (2016) and Scholarship from International University of Global Theatre Education (Austria) to study Movement Direction. She aims to create a strong base for Theatre Studies and create artistic engagements. After completing her Master’s Degree in Theatre Arts, she also received a Scholarship to complete her diploma in Biomechanics. She has also received a National Scholarship from the Cultural Ministry of India, to continue her developments in Theatre. She is developing and researching constantly with International Artists across the world for art and cultural exchange. She is currently teaching Body Movements and physical theatre in MIT School Of Drama as visiting faculty.

Dr. Amol Deshmukh is a Dramatist, Director & Academician. He has completed his Master’s Degree with Distinction from Academy of Theatre Arts, University of Mumbai. He also passed The NET Exam & Received a Ph.D. Degree from University of Mumbai.He has Conducted Acting Workshops in various cities. His published Material includes play “ Madhavi ” and Articles on Theatre issues .He participated in various seminars and National International Conferences and presented Research Papers on Performing Arts. He holds positions in advisory Committees including Executive Committee of Maharashtra School of Drama, Govt. of Maharashtra. Board Studies Committee Member of MIT ADT University, pune. Mumbai University and Solapur University. He Has Written, Directed, Acted in many plays for State Level Drama Competitions and also has been awarded for the same. He received the National Integration Fellowship, late Nilu Phule Smiriti Yuva Puraskar , Late Dr.Punjabrao Deshmukh Smiriti Samajveer Puraskar for his contribution to Theatre movement.
He has taught Classical Indian Drama for 10 years as an Assistant Professor at the Academy of Theatre Arts, University of Mumbai. He is currently heading the MIT School of Drama, MIT ADT University, Pune.
Shri. Sanket jain is a Theatre Practitioner and Director. He has completed his Master Degree from Academy of Theatre Arts, University of Mumbai also done NET in Drama. He has also completed one year Indian Theatre Diploma course by Natyakulam in collaboration with Sangeet Natak Academy. He has Acted and directed various world famous play such as Yuva Waiting for Godot , Dakghar and Prometheus Bound., also performed play in various National and International Theatre festival.
He has conducted Theatre Workshops for Special Child. Currently is teaching acting in MIT School of Drama.
